Puppy Chow, by Natalie Hodson

Want to know the fastest way to make new friends at a party? Walk in with a bowl of this stuff! There are zero parts of this Puppy Chow that are healthy, but it is so good and is always a huge hit when I show up with it at football games or dinner at a friend’s house. The kids and I made it tonight and it’s easy peasy.

Microwave together:
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 stick butter
3/4 cup peanut butter
60 seconds, stir, then 30 more seconds.

Pour it in a big bowl over an entire box of rice chex (about 9 cups). Mix then transfer half the batch into a gallon Ziploc, add 3/4 c powdered sugar, seal and mix like crazy. Lay a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet (easy clean up), spread out the mix evenly, then repeat with the second half of the batch.

Do everything in your power to keep the kids out of it, then stick the cookie sheet in the fridge for 20ish minutes to cool it all together. Put in a bowl, show up to your party, and instantly have 20 new friends around you.

Remember my thoughts on foods like this: there are no ‘good’ foods or ‘bad’ foods just some foods we eat more of and other foods we eat less of. Everything in moderation ….but good luck moderating yourself with this stuff around haha. It’s addicting!

Your friend,

Natalie
