Making sure you get enough water each day is so important for your overall health! Did you know your body is almost 60% water? Over half of our body composition is water and many of us drink little to no water each day.
So, how do you know if you’re drinking enough water? A good rule of thumb is to take your body weight, divide it in half, and that is how many ounces of water you should drink per day. For example; I am 140 lbs so I should drink 70 ounces of water a day.
I have found that if I tote around a large water bottle I have an easier time getting my water in each day. You can even mark a couple of clear, large water bottles with time markers to help keep you on track. For example, mark a clear water bottle in equal segments with 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, and noon. Some people like to have pre-filled water bottles for the day; one for morning, afternoon, and evening.
The trick is to find a system that works for you. Experiment with different ideas to find the right fit for you. The important thing is that you’re drinking plenty of water!
